CLRNN held its inaugural methodology workshop, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), at the University of Reading, on 13th September 2019. The workshop was led by Prof James Gathii (Loyola University Chicago, Afronomics.org), Prof Obiora Okafor (York University) and Prof Olufunmilayo Arewa (Temple University). Both early career and established researchers attended its sessions, which kicked off with small group sessions and concluded with a plenary. During the small group sessions, each workshop co-lead gave personal feedback to researchers who had submitted pre-agreed methodology statements. The plenary offered the panel the opportunity to field questions from across the full gamut of research planning and dissemination. A blogpiece on the workshop can be found here.
